Cisco Says Smartphones to Boost Mobile Web Use 26-Fold by 2015 – Bloomberg.
As a student at the University of Hawaii’ at Manoa, pursuing a Doctoral Degree in Education, specializing in Educational Technology I am investigating the opportunities for video education utilizing smartphones and tablets. I believe that the use of mobile devices for education will also increase by 2015. How can we use video and video conferencing on these devices? I have lots of ideas, but I would like to hear yours. What do you think is in our future when it comes to education and mobile devices?

Pete, I’d also like to see where education will go with moblie devices. Now that I have one, I can honestly say that I think the possiblities for these things are incredible. There is so much one can do with apps, video, and whatever else will be embeded in these devices in the next few years. For me, I’m tempted to invest some money in tablet computers to store gig music. I have a project to teach my students how to play gigs next year and by using a tablet computer, I can put 4000+ songs on one computer. I can also teach invoicing/billing, calendaring gigs, and other things with the same device. I’ve just started brainstorming the idea but I think it has possibilities.
